This means that if you start a skincare regime now your face will look loads better by December 25th. Think in terms of removing the dead skin cells and plumping the tissues. Bring some lovely new fresh skin cells to the surface with some gentle exfoliation using a flannel. Then deep cleanse and apply a very hydrating moisturiser. Do this two to three times a week for 4 weeks and your skin will be glowing, smooth and a perfect canvas for your makeup.

By which I mean not just digging out that old red lippie from the dark recesses of your makeup bag and hoping for the best! I really enjoy experimenting with different looks with my makeup and I seem to learn something new every week. Eye makeup is probably the easiest to play around with. Try 3 different shades of the same colour - say grey or brown or maybe green. For instance apply No Shimmer Eye Shade in Cocoa on the lash line, Cream on the lids and Taupe for the socket line. Blend really well with a clean Shadow Blending Brush 7.

That way you will never choose a bad lip colour again! Remember that warm toned people have a yellow undertone to their skin - so you need to look for nude/orange/coral/browny-orange/orangey-red colours and you will look gorgeous. If you are cool toned the blue undertone of your skin will mean that pale pink/plummy pink/berry reds and strong vibrant pinks will look amazing on you. The best way is to use a Highlighter on the top of the cheekbones and brow bones. This will catch the light and look very pretty. Our Sheer Brilliance Lid Colours in Silver Mist and Soft Moss applied to the eyelids will add shimmer in the most flattering way. A dab of Gorgeous Gloss Lip Shine on top of your lipstick will make lips look plumper and more luscious - but don't be tempted to load it on.

The worst possible way to prepare for a special party is to have a nice hot shower in which you wash your hair, followed by a blast of heat from the hairdryer. Then, as time is running out, you try to slap on your makeup! Is it any wonder that your hot flushed skin doesn't look so great! So - leave lots of time and allow your face to dry out from all that steam and cool down properly and then apply your makeup

How? The most important part of your makeup routine - applying face, eye and lip primers. These wonderful products will keep your makeup in place despite extremes of conditions. A recent email from a customer said that her LFF makeup had performed brilliantly during her daughter's wedding in the heat of Dubai. I think that's a pretty good recommendation!
I hope you get lots of invitations over the coming festive season. I have a couple of special occasions to look forward to, so I have lots of planning and preparing to do but whatever I wear, I know that with my LFF makeup on I will look as fabulous as I possibly can!

Thank you for my first package of cosmetics, they look amazing and i can't wait to try them. Speaking from such a cold winter climate (today it is minus 25) keeping any skin (young or old) fully moisturised is problematic, so I love your approach to a creamier base. Could I make one suggestion? For clients who are far away is there anyway you can devise a small colour (for lips and blush) palette (maybe one for cool and one for warm tones) so that we can try out some of the options without wasting too much product and postage!? Such a palette would be a wonderful travel accessory as well. It's hard to tell colours from the web. Just a thought. Thank you for your promotion of life after 50, 60 and 70. Paula

Thank you for your advice it's made me think about my makeup. I have all the problems of an aging face and body and have made strict rules such as never ever look at a sleeveless dress no matter how attractive. I make sure my knees are not on view and a polo neck is a great aid in winter also an attractive scarf tied around the neck summer and winter. Make up is for me less is more and I feel your concealer will be such a help. I'm recovering from the Xmas credit card then I shall order each of the products I feel will help me, brushes and lips. Hi Val I use the Boots Protect and Perfect range of serum and moisturiser which might work well for you as long as you apply daily. I would love to have a trial pack. I am 64yrs of age. 2 yrs ago I was given 2 days to live, I eventually after 9werks somehow or other got out of hospital, unfortunately for me, my great skin has turned out dry and terrible, not spot wise but the condition. The Dr has given me different creams but can't find one that works. So to apply a make up to my face that would look as perfect as Tricia Cusden's would take a miracle. Valerie
