If I only see clothes in magazines, catalogues and fashion features on slim, tall young young models, how can I know how they might look on my thicker, more rounded body with low-slung boobs?
Which is one very good reason that I love doing Street Style Fashion features, because I can share with you photographs of real older women with whom we can all readily identify.
Last week we featured the five worthy winners of our ‘Anything But Black’ competition and Included some of the other styles that really stood out amongst the hundred plus that we received. As I was going through them I identified two other themes: Smart Casual and Warm Accessories, so this week I have selected a few more of the entries that fall into those categories. I do hope you enjoy seeing them and that these colourful and vibrant images will inspire you to be a bit braver and more daring as they did Linda who commented after seeing last week’s photographs:
“Oh what an inspiration those ladies are, including yourself. I have three black coats, but after seeing the vibrant colours I shall be looking out for a new coat now!!! Thank you for such a cheery blog”.
Accessories for Warmth, Fun and Impact:
Smart Casual: Warmth With Style
Look at all these fabulous photographs and tell me that older women aren’t interested in looking great and aren’t worthy of being included in a conversation about style and fashion, and I’ll prove to you how wrong you are!
