Which Makeup Brushes To Use For Each Step

Each of our collection of 10 brushes is individually designed for the perfect application of our makeup products...

Powder/Bronzer Brush 1

Powder/Bronzer Brush 1

> Short, fat beautifully soft brush

> Perfect for sweeping powder or bronzer over the face

> Gives your makeup a smoother-than-smooth finish

Tips

> Apply powder or bronzer to the face with light sweeping motions

> Use a clean Brush 1 to “polish” the face after applying primer and foundation, to create an even more refined finish

Blusher Brush 2

Blusher Brush 2

> A super-soft blusher brush designed to give your cheeks the perfect finish

> With a circular sweeping motion, it blends in colour for just the right intensity

Tips

> With fingertips, pat a small amount of blusher onto your cheekbones (not the apples of your cheeks) and gradually smooth over the cheek area in an arc of colour

> Use the brush to blend in a circular sweeping motion onto the cheekbones, then up and out towards the hairline. Repeat until you’re happy with the intensity of colour

Foundation Brush 3

Foundation Brush 3

> Angled brush adjusts to the contours of your face

Buff your foundation with this brush for a smooth, professional finish

Tips

> Use the brush to apply foundation by buffing it evenly onto the face

> Start in the centre of your face and brush your foundation outwards towards your hairline and neck

Concealer Brush 4

Concealer Brush 4

> This clever little brush helps you get your concealer to where it’s needed

> Small and rounded with stiff bristles, it reaches the areas your fingertips can’t – such as the inside corner of the eye

Tips

> Use the brush to stipple concealer onto any areas you’d like to cover

> Build to the density you’d like, allow to dry slightly, then use your fingertips to pat into the skin

Shadow & Lip Brush 5

Shadow & Lip Brush 5

> Perfect for adding small amounts of eye shadow with precision

> Works brilliantly as a lip brush

> Helps you apply your concealer accurately

Tips

> For eyelids: sweep brush in eye shadow and apply to the lids, exactly where you want it, with a sweeping motion

> For lips: coat the brush with lipstick and apply to the lips, being careful to stay within the lip line

> For blemishes: use the brush to apply a very small blob of concealer

Eyebrow Brush 6

Eyebrow Brush 6

> Helps to evenly distribute your Bring Back Brow Shape

> Provides a professional finish

Tips

> First, tweeze away any unwanted hairs and shape your brows to a perfect arch: thicker on the inside and tapering down to a point at the end. (Or have them shaped professionally – worth every penny)

> For eyebrow grooming: comb through the brows in an upward motion, then along the brow line

> After applying Brow Shape: comb Brush 6 through the eyebrows to evenly distribute the colour

Shadow Blending Brush 7

Shadow Blending Brush 7

> Sweep shadow onto your lids evenly

> Add an arc of subtle colour to the eye socket

> Finish off eye makeup by blending thoroughly

Tips

> For eye shadow: sweep brush over the shadow and apply to eyelids. Repeat until you’re happy with the colour intensity

> To improve the look of hooded eyes: use the brush to work eye shadow into the socket area, creating the illusion of depth

> For blending: after you’ve applied your colour, wipe any excess shadow off the brush to clean it (or use another clean Brush 7).

> Then sweep brush over the entire eyelid in circular movements, to blend any defined lines

Wedge Shadow Brush 8

Wedge Shadow Brush 8

> Small finely-angled brush for precise lines

> Use to apply a line of eyeshadow to the base of your lashes as a subtle, smokey eyeliner

Tips

> For eye shadow as eyeliner: dab brush into the shadow and apply at the base of your eyelashes, both top and bottom

> For smudging: sweep the brush over the defined eye shadow line to create a soft, smokey look

Small Shadow Blending Brush 9

> Fine and pointed bristles are perfect for blending eyeshadow to create a smoky eye effect or for intensifying the lash line

Tips

> Using Blending Brush 7, sweep the brush over the eye shadow and apply it to the eyelids. Repeat until you’re happy with the colour intensity. Then sweep the brush over the entire eyelid in circular movements, to blend any defined lines

> Use Blending Brush 9 to create detailed definition in your crease with short, sweeping motions. Achieve a soft, blended look by buffing the brush in small circles
