Meet Jenny: Charismatic, Chic and Creative

Jenny is well known for her educational yet entertaining videos which always leave you with a smile on your face.

"I found Look Fabulous Forever several years ago when searching for an eyeshadow which didn’t have any shimmer. I was struggling at the time to find something suitable. I loved the idea of makeup which was specifically designed for more mature ladies and loved Tricia’s ethos about embracing our older selves instead of the usual message that we need to look ‘Younger Forever’ . The makeup range covered everything and over time has expanded to include skincare and haircare. So everything you need is under the same brand."

Jenny can't live without her trusty Long Lasting Colour Lipstick's which help to brighten up any rainy day in her home town, Clitheroe. Her favourite shades are Very Berry and Soft Plum.

We asked Jenny how makeup makes her feel, here is what she said:

"Makeup makes me feel my best self, as I get older, looking in the mirror I see another wrinkle here, wow! when did that happen! another dark spot there, so anything I can do to help me disguise these slight niggles without having to do anything drastic is fantastic!"

Since 2002, Jenny has worked with her son on the accounts for his business. Previously, she worked in Advertising and Video Production which comes as no suprise with the skills that she brings into her content for Look Fabulous Forever.

Along side her work, Jenny is a big part of our community for older women, 'The Super Troopers'...

"I do love being a member of the TST group. Everyone has lovely stories either of family events or holidays and advice is asked and given in a very supportive way. I’ve met up with some of the ladies who live in the area for lunch which was lovely. Since Super Troopers started during lockdown I’m amazed how the community has grown to be worldwide."

When Jenny isn't working, she fills her time with activities in her local area. Jenny has joined the WI and U3a communities as well as different keep fit groups including pilates, yoga and aerobics.

"These keep me pretty busy, you can get a bit too busy sometimes, but it certainly gets me out and about"

We asked Jenny who her style icon is, here is what she said:

"Going back some years now, but my fashion icon would be Twiggy (Lesley Hornby) whilst I was at Art College in the 1960’s she was one of the most copied model's for both makeup and fashion style. And around that time, I wasn’t too far away from her figure. Mary Quant invented the ‘mini skirt’ much to my father’s horror! And Barbara Hulanicki opened BIBA store, we actually had one of her stores in Bolton where I lived."
