A Christmas Makeover

We teamed up with our friends at McCarthy Stone to carry out a festive makeover for one of their lovely residents Helen. Helen is 82, and is a resident at their Weybridge Apartments in Surrey. McCarthy Stone creates award-winning retirement apartments, bungalows and cottages, with stylish facilities and thoughtful services on-site.

1. Face Prime

Apply 2 pumps of Smooth Like Silk Face Prime to the back of your hand and then use your fingertips to smooth it over your entire face

2. Beauty Balm or Foundation

Apply your Light Look Beauty Balm all over your face and the Continuous Cover Foundation to any areas that need a little bit of extra coverage. Blend it out using a Foundation Brush

3. Concealer

Touch up any discoloured areas of your face with a little Cover to Cover Concealer, using a Concealer Brush

4. Eyeshadow

Before you apply your eye shade, apply your Eye Prime. Sweep our No Shimmer Eye Shade in Lilac Mist softly across your lids, and then use a slightly darker shade (like Bluebell) to add definition to your socket

5. Eyeliner

Line your eyes by taking a Wedge Brush and our No Shimmer Eye Shade and softly pushing a darker shadow like Midnight Blue into your upper and lower lash line

6. Highlighter

Sweep some Instant Bright Highlight onto your cheek and brow bones using the integrated brush

7. Blusher

Using your fingers, apply Real Radiance Blush just above the apples of your cheeks and bring it up towards your temples. Blend the edges using a Blusher Brush

8. Mascara

Coat your top lashes with the mascara to open up your eyes. If you have time add a coat to the bottom lashes too

9. Lipstick

Apply your festive lipstick (like our Cherry Red) with a lip brush for a professional finish. Ensuring to line the edges of your lips first before bringing it into the centre
