Our Ambassadors
Meet Helen: Caring, Compassionate and Always Fabulous
Helen is a prominent member of our online community of older women, 'The Super Troopers'. She was also featured in one of our Makeover Dilemma videos in April 2022.
Â
We asked Helen what she loves about being a Super Trooper, here is what she said:
Â
"The Super Troopers is a safe, happy forum to interact with other like-minded women. We have ‘met’ many inspirational women with amazing stories to tell, we have supported less confident and vulnerable women and become ‘friends’ with very many more women, all just getting on with life. We have shared anniversaries, birthdays, births and deaths. We ask for, and give advice on health, medical, consumer, leisure and fashion matters, and many more topics. The Super Troopers are kind and affirm other women, never seeking to put others down."
Â
Helen is well known for her quick and easy makeover videos where she never goes without her 2 favourite products: Bring Back Brow Shape and Lustrous Colour Lipstick, which 'top and tail' her face.
Â
"Look Fabulous Forever's makeup helps me to cultivate a positive attitude towards getting older. I am ageing but look better and brighter than I have for several years. I feel confident, and hopefully, exude the aura of a woman who still cares about herself and has a valuable place in society."

Helen spent 24 years working as a teacher at an independent Catholic girl's preparatory school, working her way up to Assistant Head. She is now 66 and retired. Helen has 5 young grandsons she spends 3 - 4 days a week caring for.
Helen stays busy doing things she loves in her home town, Cobham in Surrey. Here is what she gets up to in her spare time:
Â
"In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, knitting and calligraphy. I love to read. In fair weather, I get stuck into the garden and particularly enjoy pruning and planting containers.
I am a volunteer at Painshill Park, a beautiful 18th-century landscape garden. I may be in the visitor centre, helping steward at weddings, concerts or other events, or driving around the grounds in a buggy giving tours to those less nimble on their feet.Â
My favourite time is when all the family are around for a noisy, chaotic BBQ, hotly contested game of boules or croquet, or a sleepover"
Â
Helen has admired British actress Joanna Lumley for her style throughout her career. She says:Â
"I am always struck by her almost careless way of putting clothes together which looks elegant, comfortable and colourful."
We asked Helen who she finds most inspirational. She said:
Â
"The women I find inspirational are those very many ‘ordinary’ women who care for elderly parents whilst working full-time, manage teenage children, and all whilst probably having to cope with the difficulties of their own menopause at the same time."

Helen is pictured on the left wearing her favourite Pewter Grey No Shimmer Eye Shade. Helen is cool-toned and therefore suits shades such as Aubergine or Dusky Pink, which look fabulous with her brown eyes!
