Thank you for the introduction to Toolally earrings! I have just bought two pairs and love, love, love them! I'm afraid they are not 'statement' ones but a bright blob of colour and I think a start to changing my image, says she of pearl studs for the last 30 years (since her 40's)!!! Thank you too for your inspiration and encouragement! Kindest regards, Sue

I so totally agree with your views on earrings. As we age, I sometimes think older women simply disappear from view to others. I like to think of earrings as an area where I can "be myself" and act out whatever fun, kicky and colorful version of myself that I want. My hair is a little above shoulder length and I guess that makes me feel I am safe to do this. My hair obscures the earrings a bit. But, it also means that if I want them to stand out I need to go bolder. I hadn't thought about how earring color and lip color play off of each other , but I can see what you mean by studying your photos. I will have to give that some thought when I dress. As a summer (cool but softer than winter) I monitor more carefully the brighter lip colors. I do think that as we age, a brighter lip helps to add a little color and brightness to our faces, even if, as in my case, the lips appear to be diminishing in size. Sigh...

I love my earrings, and like you I never feel my outfit is complete without them.I may get tired of a pair, but never throw them away. They a kept and used at a later date.I am wearing earnings I bought in Hong Kong in the 80’s.Lipstick and earnings brighten my day.

I had my ears pierced 2 years ago when I was 64! It was the best thing I ever did as my little sparkly studs give my face just the lift needed at my age! I am gradually collecting earings I feel good in, they are the finishing touch every day!
