I was delighted to read your blog and watch the interview with Annette. I'm new to LLF and have been wondering which shades would be good for me. I was at school with Annette, she was in the year above me. I also loved English and drama and we were both chosen to take part in a play to be acted completely in French. Annette played the part of my Maman. I was a young boy called Jean Paul (it was an all girls school!) My name was Hazel Hubbard in those days, I wonder if Annette remembers me? I have been delighted to see her progress over the years and it was a joy to see the excellent interview. She looks so lovely and has such a warm, serene confidence. I remember that warmth and kindness from school days. Thank you Tricia for this delightful article and interview. I found it inspirational.

Hi Heather I think that what Annette meant was that it was less collaborative between the actor and the director of the piece. Annette is a customer of LFF and had been for a long time before we approached her for this series. Everything else we do - gallery photographs, video tutorials, street style fashion blogs are of everyday average women (as you call them),some of whom are customers. In our Ambassador series we wanted to feature interesting older women who were proving that age is no barrier to being, well, fabulous! Last time I interviewed Anne Rafferty, another customer and an Appeals Court Judge - hardly a celebrity! The comments we got on that (and this) interview show how much people appreciate seeing 'the real person' behind the role (be that actor or judge). We can never please everyone whatever we do! I have never been asked for tips about cycling 4 miles across a desert and I have to say you've probably beaten me with that particular problem. Maybe one of our other readers can help you! Tricia x

"Another challenge is that decisions for casting are now made by committees of people rather than individual directors so the process is much less collaborative." Surely this would result in the process being much MORE collaborative? Lovely though this lady is, my heart sank at you selecting a hugely successful, well known person, a celebrity in fact, to make the interview and to treat her -thus keeping everything within elite circles. I'd much rather you chose an everyday, average customer, who isn't on everybody's TV. The majority of your customers are not celebrities, and I'd Like to see role models of 'joe blogs' people, just like me. I'd like to hear what they wear and how folk make the best of themselves when they don't have makeup artists working on them. Just a though. share it around hey? How do I arrive at work looking fabulous in my ffmakeup after cycling 4 miles across the desert?

What a lovely lady! Having seen Annette as Babe from Eastenders, I can only say what a brilliant actress, as she is such a warm and friendly person in real life! Annette is looking great too!
