Well I've just been singing, "I am 16 going on 17" which proves that I am either a fool or a super-optimist. I prefer to think I am the latter. I shall be 92 in August and have slowed down physically but I love my life even though I was widowed three years ago after 62 years of marriage. Life is what you make it and I refuse to be intimidated by the passing years. I have my own teeth: my hair is its original mouse. I am still mobile and am compos mentis (touch wood). I studied Latin until three years ago: I write letters to magazines ; I enter competitions and win such wonderful prizes as a year's supply of disinfectant. (very useful with the pandemic actually). I have a go when Tricia sets tasks/competitions for us and enjoy viewing the submissions of my Fellow Troopers. Oh I forgot! I had a triple bypass in 2000, an operation which is supposed to "last" around ten years so I've been told, and a stent fitted last March 8th. I have been asked what my "secret" is. It's simple: keep on breathing, and SMILE!

I totally agree, 'you are who you want to be'. Love gives, Fear hold back. I feel 63,but am 83, so what? I feel good!..

Happy belated Birthday! I’m 80/81 in June and my friends think I am the most optimistic person they know. I just had a pacemaker inserted last Friday and in spite of a lot of discomfort, I know things will improve. I wish I could use your foundation but at least I can wear some of your make up. Life is good! Murielle

Tricia. I really enjoyed this blog?? I am a very optimistic person, and always have been (Sagittarius traits I believe. My husband and I have a full life.doing different things than done when younger. Enjoying what you can do now and looking forward to trying new things I will be 80yrs in Dec. But don't feel it except for the odd joint pain now and then, and having to do some things a bit slower. Enjoy life!!!!! My mum did till she was 97yrs and 91yrs so I think I have got good genes.
