6 Steps to Beautiful Eyes
Eye makeup is probably the most challenging aspect of makeup for the majority of older women.Â
So, let's look at the best approaches to eye makeup when the ageing process has changed the texture of the skin of our eyelids, and the quality and thickness of eyelashes and eyebrows.
Step 1
Apply our Smooth Out Eye Prime as a smoother to create the perfect base for the eye makeup and to help eye shadows from migrating into creases. Blend it with your fingers or a Concealer Brush.
Step 2
Apply No Shimmer Eye Shades to shape the eye. Start with a pale colour on the lid, then add a slightly darker colour on the socket line (or where the socket line should be if your eyes have become more hooded). You can use the same medium shade or a darker shade on the outer V, blending into the socket line to create the illusion of a bigger more open eye. Blend thoroughly with a clean brush.
Step 3
Add definition to your lash line to create the image of thicker fuller lashes. Use our Soft Eyeliner along your upper lash line and on your lower lash line. Next, apply a dark shade of No Shimmer Eye Shadow to set the Soft Eyeliner. This will help to keep it in place all day. Push the colour into the roots of your lashes, not worrying too much about precision as it can look good if it's a bit smudgy.
Step 4
Curl your eyelashes with your Eyelash Curlers. Next, apply Lithe Lash Mascara to your eyelashes starting at the base and wiggling the wand up to the tips. Â
Step 5
A pop of Sheer Brilliance Lid Colour brightens the whole eye when applied to the inner corner of your eye and blended well with the eye shadows you use. Alternatively, you can use our Instant Bright Highlight in the inner corners of your eyes and on your brow bone for a touch of shimmer. If you prefer a matte finish, skip this step.
Step 6
Finish off by framing your eyes with your eyebrows. Shake the Brow Shape product, and wipe any excess off from the brush on the back of your hand. Then apply the product using light feathery strokes following the shape of your brows.
